ISH Shanghai & CIHE Shanghai International Trade Fair for Heating, Ventilation & Air-Conditioning Shanghai New International Expo Centre Shanghai, China, 26 – 28 September 2012
PRESS RELEASE
ISH Shanghai & CIHE makes its debut for the East China market
Show aims to tap East China’s 323 million-plus residents
Building on the success of the Beijing fair, ISH China & CIHE will organise a new edition to tap the eastern China market. ISH Shanghai & CIHE – Shanghai International Trade Fair for Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning, co-organised by Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd, Beijing B & D Tiger Exhibition Co Ltd and Shanghai Pudong International Exhibition Corp, will run from 26 – 28 September 2012 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. The fair will cover an area of 11,500sqm, and is expected to attract more than 200 exhibitors and 8,000 visitors worldwide.
Exhibitors of ISH Shanghai & CIHE will include international and domestic manufacturers of boilers, radiators, floor-heating, air-conditioning and ventilation systems, meters, pumps, valves and renewable energy thermal utilisation products. The debut fair is expected to bring visitors involved in the building, architectual design, development and management of properties, as well as government bodies involved in tendering contracts.
Over the past decade, Messe Frankfurt has gained enormous success globally in the HVAC industry through its ISH branded fairs, especially in China, where there are vast opportunities. “Messe Frankfurt sees great potential within the China market. Capitalising on the promising eastern China region, ISH Shanghai & CIHE allows us to extend both our experience and professionalism to a new audience within the country,” said Ms Iris Jeglitza-Moshage, Senior Vice President of Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH.
Show aims to tap East China’s 323 million-plus residents
With 323.37 million residents, East China accounts for approximately 25 percent of China’s population. This market occupies a region that reaches temperatures as low as -5 Celcius in winter. But even with such lower temperature figures, residents of East China have traditionally followed South China, by only incorporating air-conditioning and heating appliances within buildings.
Mr Richard Li, Deputy General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd said, “As people’s energy efficiency awareness rises, plus the increased desire for comfortable living by a growing affluent market, the demand for sophisticated and high-end HVAC products and technology has exploded. The growth potential for local and international brands is unmatched.” ISH Shanghai & CIHE aims to introduce individual household heating solutions to the building industry in Shanghai and across the Yangtze River.
One promising technology that has grown in the region is radiant floor heating. Due to the Central Government’s aim to promote renewable energy and low-carbon producing items, radiant floor heating has quickly become adopted in the architectural design of buildings within the region. Regionally, East China has seen an increase of 50 percent year-on-year in floor heating sales. Recently constructed luxury residences in Shanghai, such as Europe Sunshine Villa City, Mingfeng Garden and Tomson Golf Villas have all incorporated the technology in their structures.
Many industry players, including a number of ISH China & CIHE’s exhibitors, have already set up offices and factories within the East China region. They are in need of professional platforms to showcase their brands in this emerging market. “We believe ISH Shanghai & CIHE will not only provide global exposure to these exhibitors, but also offer synergy for brands already familiar with the North China market to enter the East China region,” added Mr. Li Hongbo, General Manager of Beijing B & D Tiger Exhibition Co Ltd.
ISH Shanghai & CIHE is part of Messe Frankfurt’s architecture and technology fairs, headed by the biennial ISH event in Frankfurt taking place 12 – 16 March 2013. For more information, please visit www.ishc-cihe.com or email info@ishc-cihe.com. - end -
